MTT & San Francisco Symphony wrap 2015/16 season at Davies Hall

To close their 2015/16 concert season at Davies Symphony Hall, Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony present the music of Stravinsky, Adams, Brahms, Mahler and more in their final three weeks of performances.

June 16-19, MTT leads the orchestra in Stravinsky’s Scènes de ballet, Variations and Petrushka plus, with baritone Thomas Hampson, John Adams’s The Wound Dresser.

Pianist Yefim Bronfman joins MTT and the San Francisco Symphony on June 23, 24 & 25 for Jorg Widmann’s Piano Concerto, “Trauermarsch.” Also on the program is C.P.E. Bach’s Symphony No. 1 and Brahms’s Symphony No. 1.

In their final subscription concerts of the year from June 29-July 2, MTT and the Symphony perform Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 2, “Resurrection.” Soprano Karina Gauvin and mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor join the orchestra with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus.
