MTT leads New World Symphony in Inverno In-ver video world premiere in Miami Beach and Chicago

On October 17 Michael Tilson Thomas continues hisperformances with the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, with performances of Niccolò Castiglioni’s Inverno In-ver, featuring the world premiere of a visual installation by British director, designer and video artist Netia Jones, in creative collaboration with MTT. Castiglioni’s series of 11 short musical poems for small orchestra will be accompanied in real time by Jones herself during the concert. The program also includes Duets for Two Violins by Luciano Berio as well as the complete score to Igor Stravinsky’s ballet Pulcinella.

The entire program will be reprised two evenings later on October 19 at Chicago’s Harris Theater, which co-commissioned Jones’s visual installation with the New World Symphony.
