Michael Tilson Thomas conducts San Francisco Symphony with pianist Yuja Wang

Michael Tilson Thomas, the San Francisco Symphony, and pianist Yuja Wang give two special concerts at Davies Symphony Hall August 21 & 22 in anticipation of the orchestra’s European Festivals tour.
On Friday, August 21, MTT and the SFS perform Schoenberg’s Theme and Variations, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with Yuja Wang. On Saturday, August 22, Wang joins the Orchestra for Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in a program that also features Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.
