Rhett Del Campo (Percussion 2002-06) is thrilled to be back in sunny Miami as GRAMMY®-nominated Seraphic Fire’s new managing director. His most recent experiences included a role as board liaison and executive assistant with the Kansas City Symphony, and work as a key team member of SocialRaise, a Chicago-based nonprofit technology company. He was formerly the principal percussionist of the Royal Swedish Opera and Ballet in Stockholm.

Ian Maksin (Cello 2000-03) reports that his new album Soul Companion came out on the Blue Griffin label in September and features his original music for solo cello, several works commissioned from award-winning composers including Paul Yeon Lee, Ilya Levinson and Seth Boustend, as well as Maksin’s own transcriptions of music by Sting for solo cello.

Anthony Anurca

Anthony Anurca (Bassoon 2004 -07) returned to Jacksonville in 2010 for a one-year appointment as second bassoon with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra (JSO). At the end of this year, he won the audition for the tenure-track position.  He has been with the JSO for four years and since then has joined the faculty at several institutions including contrabassoon faculty at the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, NC, faculty at Jacksonville University and most recently at the University of Florida.

Tomas Cotik (Violin 2005-07) reports highlights of this season including recitals in New York (Bargemusic), Florida (Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center), Texas, North Carolina (Fletcher Opera Theatre) and California (Occidental Center for the Arts). He will also present a series of five concerts at All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale with pianist Tao Lin. These concerts will showcase their recent, new, and upcoming CD releases on Naxos and Centaur Records with music by Mozart, Schubert and Piazzolla.

Robert Knopper (Percussion 2010-11) recorded the album delécluse: douze études for snare drum, in February 2014, which is the first solo album recorded at the New World Center. It’s also notable because it’s the 50th anniversary of the études and no one has ever recorded them.
