A West Coast premiere and Tchaikovsky with Yefim Bronfman at the San Francisco Symphony

Next week at the San Francisco Symphony, Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas conducts works by Zosha Di Castri, Tchaikovsky, and Prokofiev. Joining the concert program is pianist Yefim Bronfman, who guests for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. MTT also conducts the West Coast premiere of Lineage by Canadian composer Zosha Di Castri, commissioned as part of San Francisco Symphony’s New Voices partnership with the New World Symphony and Boosey & Hawkes. MTT also leads Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 3, based on material from the composer’s opera The Fiery Angel.  

Concerts take place on September 11, 12, and 14 with September 12’s concert performed at Green Music Center at Sonoma State University. For more information, click  here.
