Michael Tilson Thomas returns to Miami Beach, Florida, to work and perform with the fellows of the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy. On January 30 and 31, MTT and the NWS Fellows present a program comprised entirely of new work: the world premiere of Ted Hearne’s Dispatches, the first performances of Bruce Coughlin’s orchestration of three of Bruce Hornsby’s four songs from SCKBSTD, and the world premiere of Michael Gordon’s El Sol Caliente with film by Bill Morrison.
