MTT conducts Philadelphia Orchestra in Ives, Brahms & Tchaikovsky

Michael Tilson Thomas conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra in works by Ives, Brahms and Tchaikovsky on February 18, 19 and 20. The concert at Philadelphia’s Verizon Hall comprises Ives’s “Decoration Day” from A Symphony: New England Holidays, Brahms’s Serenade No. 2 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2, “Little Russian.”

MTT replaces James Levine, who has withdrawn from the performances. “I am a great admirer of Jim’s unmatched musicianship and wish him all good health and speedy return to the podium,” says MTT.
