Taking the stage with a notable group of guest artists, Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony present three concerts featuring the music of Italian composers on September 22, 23 & 24.

MTT leads the orchestra with SFS Principal Oboe Eugene Izotov in Marcello’s Oboe Concerto in c minor. The Swingles join MTT and the orchestra for Berio’s Sinfonia for Eight Solo Voices and Orchestra, and tenor Michael Fabiano is the featured soloist in a selection of Berio’s Italian Arias.

MTT and the SFS close the program with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, presenting Verdi’s Te Deum.
