MTT plays Mahler’s Blumine, Beethoven concerto, and Brahms quintet with CSO

Michael Tilson Thomas joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as guest conductor for concerts on December 8, 9, and 10. A premier Mahler interpreter, MTT performs Blumine, the original Andante from the composer’s First Symphony. American pianist Jeremy Denk, making his CSO debut, partners with MTT in Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto. MTT’s Chicago program concludes with Schoenberg’s orchestration of Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 1.
