Michael Tilson Thomas launches 2012 with the San Francisco Symphony in performances of Liszt’sPrometheus, Tchaikovsky’s First Symphony, and Ligeti’s Violin Concerto – first at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis on January 5 and then at Davies Center on January 6, 7 and 8.

MTT returns to San Francisco this month, resuming his 17th season as Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony after kicking off the 2011-12 season of the New World Symphony.
