Following their season-opening concert earlier this month, MTT and the New World Symphony continue the 2011-12 season with an all-Beethoven program at the New World Center on October 22. MTT’s final concerts of the fall with the New World Symphony take place on October 28 and 29 at the New World Center and the Adrienne Arsht Center, respectively.
The program on October 28 consists of Richard Strauss’s tone poem Till Eulenspiegel ‘s Merry Pranksand Brahms’ First Symphony, and will also be shown as a free Wallcast on the 7,000-square-foot projection wall on the exterior of the New World Center. The following evening reprises this repertory and adds Wagner’s Wiesendonk Lieder, sung by the noted dramatic soprano Christine Brewer.
